Lola Rocknrolla, Nefertitty in Space, 2015, 29 minutes 18 seconds

...

kijidome presents the films of Lola Rocknrolla. In the tradition of John Waters, Rocknrolla keeps the filth comedy genre alive. Her Gaysploitation films featuring burlesque and drag royalty Bambi, Lil Miss Lixx, Dirty Martini, Legs Malone, Amanda Lepore, Miss Understood, Michael Formika Jones, World Famous Bob, Albert Cadabra, and David Bishop celebrate queer and outsider culture. Within her oeuvre, Rocknrolla also parodies Blacksploitation films, and actress Maine Anders aka The Maine Attraction as Nefertitty shit-kicks and karate chops her way to saving the planet, defeating the Albino Queen along the way. Lola and her cast jump into black, white, and queer stereotypes with ease, and the characters in her films, Dragzilla, Tranny Werewolf and Rehab Rodney ride the irreverent line between.

Dragzilla (2002)
Night of the Living Gay (2007)
I Was a Tranny Werewolf (2009)
Nefertitty (2012)
Brunch (2013)
Nefertitty in Space (2015)

FADE IN: A DISCO VERSION OF A SPACE ODYSSEY

TEXT: (like the beginning of star wars with the story line coming at you at an angle).

When we last left Nefertitty the Albino Queen from Aberdeen had been turned into a pile of cocaine. Little did we know that space dust has a way of coagulating into a pale and powerful menace that could destroy the world.

BEGIN ANIMATED CREDITS:

1 EXT. DEEP SPACE-NIGHT 1

Black sky with scattered stars, Neptune whirls in the distance. Wind starts to buzz. A fleck of white dust floats majestically.

Another white spec dances towards the first, whirling. More and more the white flakes spin and group together. They start to resemble powder. Not just any powder but cocaine.

The cocaine tornado gets larger and larger as a huge evil laugh is heard.

ALBINO QUEEN (O.S.)
Hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

The cocaine tornado spins until FLASH! A torso appears. The torso of the big busted honkey terror, THE ALBINO QUEEN FROM ABERDEEN (World Famous *BOB*).

ALBINO QUEEN (CONT’D)
Nothing can stop me! Hahahahahaaaaaaa!

Albino Queen looks towards camera smiling evilly. She laughs again.

ALBINO QUEEN (CONT’D)
Hahahaaaaa!!!!

2 EXT. NY STREET-DAY 2

An animated Nefertitty struts down the street as the Nefertitty theme song plays. The title comes down “NEFERTITTY IN SPACE” then dissipates into stars in a black sky.

END ANIMATION

3 EXT. NY STREET-DAY 3

NEFERTITTY (Maine Anders) saunters down a dirty NY street in a silver bikini and huge pink fur coat.

NEFERTITTY
Hey! Hi Baby! Yea! How you doing sugar? That’s right! That is riiiight! Dyn-ooo-MITE!

Nefertitty spins and mid-turn changes outfits. She keeps on walking.

Lola got the name "RocknRolla" about 15 years ago playing saxophone and singing in noisy rock bands, opening for acts like Marilyn Manson, Joan Jett and more. Lola started making music videos for her bands, which lead to directing films. She has since made 6 short films and an Off-Broadway musical (“Homo the Musical” 2010) to much acclaim. Rocknrolla is a lifelong fan of comedy/horror and B-Movies which is reflected in her work.

Her first short film “Dragzilla” is a take off of “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman” only with a giant drag queen destroying NYC. The film cost $500, $100 in Pizza, $200 for a giant high-heeled pump to crush people and another $200 for a tiny NY in cardboard and paint. “Dragzilla” has been featured in almost every Gay festival worldwide, including “Outfest”, “Feast Australia”, “SF Gay Fest,” “Ann Arbor Film fest”, “NY Underground Film Fest”, and was listed on CBS online as the perfect B-movie.

Her other films, “Night of the Living Gay” (2007) and "I was a Tranny Werewolf” (2009) have played in various festivals around the world, including Viscera Film Festival (Women in Horror). Her film awards include Arlene’s Grocery NYC Picture Start Film Festival Award (2004) and the TromaDance Award (2010), Rocknrolla’s Blaxploitation shorts, "Nefertitty" and "Nefertitty in Space" are her most recent projects starring burlesque performer and actress Maine Anders.

In her professional career Rocknrolla directed “Biz Kids” an Emmy winning show on PBS, written for Eden Eats on the Food Network and done a ton of freelance work.
